Hi... I don't really know how to start a blog post. I'll just start with an awkward wave gif.

giphy.com I read just about anything. However, I absolutely cannot read those romance novels where girl meets guy, girl falls for the guy, there is a small problem, and in the end, they live happily ever after. Gross! Or those books with lots of horrors. I read to leave reality, not to make myself so scared I have to sleep with the lights on. I also don’t really enjoy mystery novels because I hate it when you can tell that the maid did it, way before the people in the book.

tumblr.com I have learned so many things about life because of reading. Actually, when I think about it, reading maybe the reason for my awkwardness and anti-social tendencies. I’m too busy reading to actually go out (but I found reader friends so we can be awkward together!).

katiewelchmpmena.wordpress.com But in all seriousness, reading just overall increases knowledge. I know you may be thinking that The Hunger Games hasn’t taught you anything, but truthfully it has. I’m not just saying that to prove my point. Reading may sound like homework, especially since I just told you that you learn each time you read. But books can be a fun escape if you let them. Books make it easier to understand what others are going through. But of course, there are books out there just to make you laugh.

redbubble.com I own a lot of books; I can’t say how many because I don’t really feel like counting them right now. There are books all over my room on shelves, on my desk, in cabinets, and just in random places.

albainbookland.com Of all the books I’ve read or bought, I don’t really have a favorite. It doesn’t really make sense to have one because books are so different from one another that I can’t judge them on the same scale. The books I love; I love for different reasons. I guess I’ll just name a few: the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas, The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness, the Half Bad trilogy by Sally Green, and Stolen by Lucy Christopher.

wifflegif.com I love those books and, you may not (you'll never know if you don't try, *wink wink nudge nudge*). That doesn't make you a bad reader. The only bad readers in the world are people that actually have trouble reading. You may love mystery and horror, people have different tastes. If you don’t like reading, that’s okay. If you like romance, that’s okay. If you think everything I’ve been typing is nonsense, that’s okay. Well…That’s it for today. See you later! (write you later? I don't know.)

ReplyDeleteThank you, I'll be sure to find you when I go into my next reading slump.
DeleteI love young adult fiction books! I think you can learn many valuable lessons from them. Do you make it a point to watch the movie with the book?
ReplyDeleteI agree with you completely. I usually try to watch the first movie or at least watch the trailers of a stand alone movie. If I think that I won't like the adaptation, then I won't go. What are your favorite YA books.
Deletehow often do you read
ReplyDeleteI usually try to read everyday. Do you like to read? Books? Comic books?
